Why I Applied to Be a Surrogate

People always ask me why I decided to become a surrogate. Honestly? Let’s keep it real. I’m a stay-at-home mom, and I know exactly how crazy inflation is right now. The financial compensation from this journey is going to help us wipe out our credit card debt, kickstart a college fund for my kids, and finally fix that leaky roof I’ve been ignoring. Is it practical? Absolutely. But that’s real life.

That being said, money is never the only reason. No one would endure morning sickness and swollen ankles for ten months just for a paycheck. The truth is, I actually love being pregnant. My body handles it like a champ. So I thought, since I have this “superpower” and there’s a sweet couple out there crying themselves to sleep over negative pregnancy tests, why not help them out?

It’s a beautiful win-win. I get to financially secure my family’s future, and they get to bring home their dream baby. This genuine, grounded partnership is exactly why I started my first surrogacy journey. No dramatic speeches needed—it’s just a really cool thing to do.
