The intended mom sent me a massive care package for Thanksgiving, and I keep them looped in with funny videos of the baby’s midnight gymnastics. We have super healthy boundaries—I know I’m just the awesome temporary ride, and they give me total respect and space. This kind of rock-solid adult friendship is the best bonus of the entire experience.
